Once you are willing to use the plain type, without buttery or salty, and once the popcorn are fully prepared, it can be safe for your dogs to consume.

If you are planning on feeding your dog a small amount of popcorn, make sure that it is plain and air popped only. The thing is that air popped is very easy to do, which means that you can easily do it in a popcorn machine, microwave or even a stove.

Once you’ve successfully popped the popcorn, you should check and remove the partially popped kernels and only provide them with a few. We don’t recommend giving your dog popcorn with added toppings and if it’s a case where you are popping for yourself, make sure to remove a few for your dog first before adding any seasoning.
