Can Schnoodle Eat Pork? The thing is that there is no straight answer to this question. Let's start by saying that pork is available in various forms which includes cook or raw, bones or no bones, so it can be a bit challenging to answer this question upfront. In general pork are considered to be safe for schnoodle, but it is not always the healthy choice for them and with that said, there are various types of processed meat that we don't would be the right choice for dogs. It is best to keep in mind that pork that's raw or not properly cooked might contain trichinella parasites which is capable of infecting both dogs and humans. This is the reason why we think it is best to ensure that the pork is properly cook before feeding your dog. With that said, the cases with trichinella parasites is quite low, however, the disease can be serious. We all know that dogs in general enjoy eating pork bones, so there's no doubt that your furry friend will appreciate you in the best way possible if you toss a bone in their direction. However, we don't think it is wise to give your dog bones as a kind of treat. It is safe to say that, whenever pork bones are cook they become fragile, which means that a small piece can easily splinter off causing damage to your dog throat or other internal organs. Even though raw bones are considered to be more brittle, there's still risk of splintering and other problems, so we don't recommend giving them bones to eat. If it's a case where your dog enjoys chewing, there are lots of specially-formulated dog dental chews which they can have. They are known to be more tastier as the pork bone and much safer to eat. Can Schnoodles Eat Ham? The thing is that ham is high in salt and it is also said to be high in fat content. With that said, ham may not be safe for dogs because it may lead to them having upset stomach as well as pancreatitis, which is known to be a life threatening condition. This is why we also recommend feeding your dog in small amount as a training treat. You should keep in mind that your dog doesn't necessarily need ham for nutritional benefits and make sure not to overdo it when feeding them ham to eat.
