We currently have a schnoodle and he definitely enjoy playing. These amazing dog breeds are very well known to be one of the most friendly and affectionate dog breeds out there at the moment. Apart from being adorable, do schnoodles like to cuddle?

After having a long day at work, there is nothing better than coming home to your dog’s wanting to cuddle. But, does he enjoy cuddling as much as I do? Well, let’s find out.

Let’s start by saying that, schnoodle love to cuddle especially with their owners. These dogs are known to be very friendly who enjoy having human companionship and affection. While you will find that most schnoodles likes to cuddle, that’s not always the case for all of them. If it’s a case where your schnoodle have not received proper socialization from a young age, which means that they won’t enjoy cuddling.

These may be a sign that your dog is just tolerating the fact that you’re cuddling with them, but they are not actually enjoying it.

We always think it is necessary to start these process at an early stage so that your dog can be more socialized growing up. With that said, you will find that some dogs start to cuddle as they get older with a more calmer spirit. It has a lot to with your dog’s personality, but regardless, there are several things you can do to encourage your dog in cuddling.

There are things which can make the cuddling session a lot more smoother. It is safe to say that when your dog is both physically and mentally exhausted, they are more likely to cuddle because at that time their energy level is very low. This is why you may want to provide them with enough physical exercise and mental stimulation, since they will more likely become tired and want to cuddle up.

These dogs are loving and will probably enjoy cuddling and have your attention on a daily basis.

What this does is create a unique bond between you and your furry friend. However, it’s best to keep in mind that these dog breeds can sometimes be needy and therefore constantly cuddling could actually lead to your dog having some unwanted or negative behaviors.

At first, constantly cuddling with your dog can seem harmless and even cute. But, over a period of time your dog may start to nudge your arm when you’ve got a hot cup of tea in your hand or when you’re trying to concentrate on work.

Though this may not be the right thing to do because you may be in a meeting but it won’t take your dog that long to notice that you don’t appreciate this type of behavior.


While some schnoodles enjoy cuddling with their owners, some may not be a fan of it. Apart from that, each schnoodle tend to have their own way when it comes to cuddling as well as how long and they want to actually cuddle.

It doesn’t matter when or how these dogs wants to cuddle, they will always be loving and affectionate because they are a friendly breed that enjoys having their owners company.
